Kingman Armory On February 28, 2010, the State of Kansas, in its current
budget situation decided to close down the Kingman Army National Guard Armory, along with 17 other armories throughout
the state. It was turned over to the City of Kingman. The Kingman-Norwich Recreation Commission was granted a
lease with the City of Kingman, to operate and maintain the Armory. We intend to make the Armory more accessible
to the public to use through rentals, walking, and other activities, while maintaining the integrity and history that
the Armory is. The history that has walked across the drill floor, the staff that has served and deployed from the Kingman
Armory and their families, deserve the respect of a well maintained facility. We intend to keep that integrity and history
intact. It will be available for rent approximately late June. For rental information, please contact the KNRC
